ConnectShip Offers Online Courses and Updates Training Facility

April 21, 2014

For the past 15 years, ConnectShip has conducted a comprehensive week-long training class at its Tulsa, Oklahoma facility for new customers and for those who need to refresh their skills. This 5-day course provides detailed instruction on the features, installation, and configuration of the ConnectShip Progistics™ software. Each on-site class can accommodate 15 students and is offered four times a year. This training is crucial for anyone new to using ConnectShip software. It provides an opportunity for attendees to meet ConnectShip customers and get face-to-face contact with ConnectShip experts.

"We've made a major investment in updating our training room with new workstations and executive chairs to make the experience even better for our on-site trainees," says Hal Ellis, ConnectShip Training Manager. "The hands-on learning experience and interaction with the instructors is critical during the first exposure to the software."

Online Course and Master Classes

A new comprehensive online course titled "Introduction to ConnectShip" is now available to partners and existing customers, at the same cost as the on-site course. In April 2014, ConnectShip held the initial course for the employees of partner firms and existing customers who had been using the software for at least two years. The 4-day course was attended by students from the U.S. as well as Belgium, Ireland, and Canada. Six instructors covered topics including "Toolkit Advanced Installation and Administration" and "Progistics Architecture with API Hands-On Learning Lab."

In addition to the full 4-day course, online Master's Classes are also being offered at a low cost. Each one-day class covers a different topic for in-depth instruction, such as the Global Server Component, Progistics AMP, and Toolkit Administration. Online classes are inexpensive and have some prerequisites such as completion of the on-site course or completion of the ConnectShip Progistics Technology Engineer exam.

A strong understanding of, and prior experience with, ConnectShip software ensures that everyone in the class can keep pace with the instructors and fellow trainees. The Toolkit Administration class, for example, is intended for IT specialists and Network Administrators who are responsible for maintaining the ConnectShip server environment within their corporate data centers.

"Online training for existing customers and partners gives members of the ConnectShip community a chance to learn more about the latest enhancements to the software and how to leverage it to improve their business operations," said Ellis.
