It includes browser-based applications
for shipment processing, office desktop shipping, customer-service
shipment history views, as well as the configuration and management
tools required to support the applications.
Because the applications are browser-based, the ChainLink suite provides an ideal way to extend shipping functionality throughout the enterprise with low impact to user workstations. Furthermore, because the applications include scripting functionality, it helps to extend and customize the processing flow and enforce custom validation rules, also the applications can be tailored to a customer's specific business requirements. The underlying technology Progistics CS is the rating engine that contains all the business
rules for performing rating, routing, and shipping functions.
